Naaq: songs of grief and solace happened on July 6, 2018 at Faith Lutheran Church in Chico, CA. Naaq—Hebrew for “to groan”—is a biblical and visceral response to brokenness in people and in the world. This evening created space for grieving and consolation through readings of biblical Psalms and music of slaves and their descendants.
